The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The services level made for intervention encounters a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who sassa check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to permit the servicing of all customers and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
